Worthy Causes

FOP 88 is dedicated to improving the community by making charitable donations to fellow officers in need, youth sport and education programs, disaster/tragedy assistance, and the Special Olympics. To help fund many important programs in the community, FOP 88 relies on the support and generosity of the community. With this community support, we have been able to contribute to the following causes and organizations.

	FOP 88 annually awards scholarships to graduating seniors who are the children of Active members of FOP 88. Scholarships awarded total $500.00 for each graduating senior and may be used at any approved and accredited college, university, or technical school. Please CLICK HERE for an application.

	Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) operates as a peer support network and provides resources to assist in rebuilding the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. To raise money and promote awareness, Indiana C.O.P.S. Cycling consists of Indiana Police Officers along with friends, family and survivors bicycling over 1000 miles around the perimeter of Indiana to honor fallen officers who have died in the line of duty. FOP 88 has been a charter sponsor of the BJLBA for 35 years. The goal of the BJLBA is to nurture children and young adults in their development both as athletes and as people. They provide a firm and supportive environment to youth 5-16, which encourages learning while building self-confidence and self-esteem. Visit the BJLBA website by clicking the logo.


The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to help local youth 6-17 reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact. Their Vision is successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools, and stronger communities for all. FOP 88 contributes to many events through out the year, including Bowl For Kids' Sake, their largest fundraising campaign.
